Go Cardinals & Happy Birthday Dean

Two weeks ago we went to San Diego for Dean's birthday. We started the day out at Jack's Little League game. Wyatt was very excited to cheer for his cousin. Every time the crowd would cheer he would stand up and clap and yell "Go Cardinals!" dean, who spends several days a week at his brother's games and practices, wasn't quite so enthusiastic.

After baseball we went to Lori & Erik's house to celebrate Dean's second birthday. The boys had a great time playing ball in the backyard.

Dean got lots of new toys.

Wyatt thought that the presents should be for him. I think Dean would prefer that next time he got to come to our house and play with Wyatt's toys!

Dean's favorite present was his tent. He played in it for a long time after Wyatt lost interest and Jack got ordered out of it by Lori. :-)

Finally it was time for cake. It was yummy!

Easter at the Zoo

This year we went to Big Bunny's Spring Fling at the zoo.

Wyatt got to meet the Easter Bunny.

While we waited in line to pet the bunnies, Wyatt took pictures with the wooden bunny.

Finally Wyatt got to pet the bunnies. He was so excited to pet them and was very gentle when he did.

Wyatt made bunny ears that he wore all weekend.

Then we visited the petting zoo. We saw sheep.

And a loud, mean goose.

And lots and lots of goats.

Wyatt got to brush the goat which he loved almost as much as he loves brushing Sherby!

Michigan

In April I traveled to Michigan with my mom and dad for my Great Aunt Geraldine's funeral. It has been many, many years since I visited and I forgot how much I love Michigan.

One afternoon I made my parents drive me out to Lake Michigan so I could see Big Red, the lighthouse in Holland, Michigan. I later learned that Aunt Geraldine loved Big Red, so it was appropriate that we made it out to see it.

My mom and I braved the wind and blowing sand to take these pictures. We were being sandblasted as we took this one. My dad was the only one with the sense to stay in the car.

We went out and visited the dairy farm my dad was raised on. Wyatt would have been so excited to see all the animals. We saw horses, pigs, and of course, cows.

Another view of the farm.

Visiting the LA Zoo with Grandma & Grandpa

At the end of March Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. We took them to the zoo. I loved showing my favorite animals to them!

Rainy Day Fun

We have had a very rainy winter this year. Thankfully Wyatt has lots of new toys from his birthday to play with, including this awesome workbench he got from Aunt Shannon, Uncle Darrell, Hannah, and Meghan.

Wyatt and Daddy discovered the joys of You Tube one rainy day - they watched the Muppets sing Bohemian Rhapsody over and over!

Wyatt's 2nd Birthday

For Wyatt's 2nd birthday we went to check out the Pirate Park at Brookside Park. It is seriously the coolest playground ever.

We brought a picnic and ate lunch before going to play.

Wyatt got a birthday cupcake to eat. He ate all of his cupcakes and half of Daddy's.

Then Wyatt and daddy went to play. They rang the bell...

And stood at the helm and steered the pirate ship.

And finally Wyatt played with all of the fun interactive parts of the playground.

Thank You Ananya!

For Wyatt's birthday, his friend Ananya sent him a toolbox just like Handy Manny's. He loves his tools - he carries them all over the house fixing things.

SeaWorld

At the beginning of February we went to Seaworld with Grandma Vickie, Grandma Margy and Grandpa Richard.

We watched the polar bears.

And Wyatt played in the squishy toddler play area.

It was tiring, so Wyatt rested his head on a block.

Until a mean girl came and stole the blocks away. Wyatt was sad....

But then he got to see Elmo & Zoe, which made him very happy!
