Someday

Someday I'm sure that Brian will teach Wyatt how to golf.  Hopefully, it will be with the use of golf clubs and not the rake for the sand trap.  Notice Brian's brand new golf club laying on the grass while he golfs away with the rake!

Dodgers, Part II

We had great seats, third deck behind home plate.  We've never sat up so high in Dodger Stadium, it was very cool.  The only downside - I spent the game worrying that Wyatt would get hit by a foul ball!

Wyatt can't wait to eat frozen lemonade and Dodger dogs with his cousins.
Wyatt was more interested in all the people around us than what was going on down on the field.  He made it through the 4th inning before he started to meltdown from the over-stimulation.  He was so tired, but every time he fell asleep the crowd would cheer and he would startle back awake.  Literally as soon as we walked through the exit into the parking lot he was asleep.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

This weekend Wyatt went to his first major league baseball game.  To his daddy's chagrin, he was decked out in Dodger blue in honor of the occasion.
We went to the game with the whole gang:  Hannah, Grandpa Bob, Brian, Meghan, Grandma Vickie, Uncle Darrell, and Aunt Shannon, along with Grandpa Richard (taking this picture) and Grandma Margy (who was our other official photographer) and our friends Jannee and Reid.
Wyatt and Brian watching the game while I root around in the diaper bag.
Uncle Darrell was excited to teach Wyatt about his favorite baseball team, but first Wyatt needed some dinner.

Cool Dude

Occasionally Wyatt has what we jokingly call "Poopcidents".  If they are really bad they necessitate a bath.  This is a picture of Wyatt following one such poopcident wearing the froggy towel his Aunt Shannon gave him.

Wyatt testing out his new sunglasses.  They velcro around his head, which he wasn't too keen on.  He cried at first, but seemed to get used to them quickly.  I'm going to try to put them on him every day so that he gets used to wearing them.

Playdate

Today Wyatt and I went to visit my friend Bridget and her new daughter Erin.  We took them for a walk along the beach and to lunch.  Here they are in their car seats getting ready for our walk.
After lunch we laid them on Erin's blanket so that they could get to know each other.  This consisted of them laying side by side, waving their arms and occasionally hitting each other (which lead me to explain to Wyatt that boys don't hit girls).
Wyatt is about three months older than Erin.  Here you can see how much chubbier he is than Erin!  We had a great time with them and can't wait to have another play date soon!

Family Picture

This weekend we had a family picture taken.  Wyatt, normally the king of smiles just wouldn't smile for the camera.   Oh well, maybe next time!

More San Diego Pictures

We managed to keep up our morning ritual when we were in San Diego.  Wyatt and I wake up, he eats, and we snuggle until he falls back asleep.
Wyatt with his Hudson cousins.  Jack is a pro at baby holding.  When he asked to hold Wyatt, he got himself set up on the couch with pillows in just the right position to support Wyatt.
Here you can see that Wyatt is still a lot bigger than his cousin Dean, despite the fact they are only three weeks apart in age.

Playtime Pictures

Wyatt on his play mat.  He likes to look at himself in the mirror and kick at the kickpad to make it light up and play music and sounds.
Wyatt in his jumperoo.  He's still a little small for it, so we put a book under his feet.  Now he can bounce himself, which makes the music and lights play.
Smiling at himself in the mirror on his playmat.

Kick, Kick, Kick

After the Jumperoo, Wyatt played on his play mat for awhile.  He has figured out how to kick the pad to make it play music and light up!

Wyatt's Jungle Jumperoo

Wyatt loved the jumperoo at his grandma's house so much we went out and bought one.  Here he is this morning playing.  He loves the lights and music and can make himself bounce, but he seems to like the yellow and red spinning ball the best.

Merrily We Roll Along....

Wyatt has been rolling over for the last week, though today was the first time we managed to get it on camera and the first time he did it for Brian.  Up until this afternoon Brian claimed I was making Wyatt's latest skill up!  Here is the proof.  All he needed was a little motivation in the form of his favorite hanging object....

A/C At Last

This week we finally got our new air conditioner installed.  Wyatt and I had to move into our bedroom for the day to stay out of their way.  We set everything up on our bed - thankfully Wyatt didn't pee on it!  Afterwards Wyatt was so tired, he fell asleep reading a good book!
